Critical and constructive comment on Pérez-Almonacid's work on the analysis of thought. Ruiz questions some of the author's conclusions and argues that Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and pre-analytic goals of prediction and influence are adequate methods for studying thought from a functional and contextual perspective.
